Job Summary
Conduct lifeguard duties and assist in delivering public aquatic programs while ensuring effective instruction in a fun and safe manner. Monitor emergency procedures, respond accordingly, and enforce aquatic facility rules and regulations to maintain a cooperative relationship with the public. Ensure cleanliness of the pool deck and surrounding areas, and assist with special events and administrative duties as required. Work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends to meet operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills
- Familiar with emergency procedures and able to respond accordingly
- Knowledgeable of the aquatic facilities rules and regulations
- Ability to work independently with general supervision in a relatively structured environment
- Some directly related experience
- National Lifeguard Certificate
- Water Safety Instructor
- Emergency First Aid and CPR-C
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Acceptable criminal record check
