Job Summary
Lifeguard position at Jay Peak Resort for Summer 2026 (Seasonal; part-time and full-time). Responsible for guest safety, surveillance using the 10/20 scanning rule, monitoring and maintaining control over pool areas, keeping the waterpark clean, performing opening and closing duties, supervising swimmers during park hours and events, enforcing rules and taking disciplinary measures when necessary, and assisting guests in a polite and expedient manner. Requires First Aid, CPR and NPWLTP certification, Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training, ability to swim 50 yards, ability to recover a 10-pound brick from 4 feet of water, and availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Location is Jay, VT.
Required Qualifications
- Must obtain certification in First Aid, CPR and NPWLTP
- Must pass Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training
- Must be comfortable in water and able to swim 50 yards
- Must be able to recover a 10 pound brick from 4 feet of water
- Must be 16 years of age
- Must have full availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
