Job Summary
Lifeguard at The Bridgewater Club (Carmel, IN) to ensure the safety of members and guests in and around the swimming pools, enforce safety rules, and perform duties across pool areas, locker rooms, and restrooms. Top candidates are professional, enthusiastic, dependable, excellent communicators, safety minded, love people, and love the water. Responsibilities include supervising pool areas, responding to emergencies, completing required paperwork, securing facilities when supervision ends, and remaining calm and professional while multitasking. Requires current lifeguard certification (Red Cross or equivalent) including Deep Water, First Aid, CPR/AED; must be at least 16; availability for flexible hours including evenings and holidays; reliable transportation. Salary: $15.50-17/hr depending on experience and availability.
Required Qualifications
- Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervise pool and pool area to ensure guest safety.
- Respond and care for emergencies at The Bridgewater Club.
- Complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Secure all facilities upon closing and other periods where there will be no supervision by lifeguards.
- Administer age appropriate discipline as needed with good judgement and respect of patrons.
- Ensure that all equipment malfunctions are reported in a timely manner.
- Respond to questions and needs of guests and management.
- Have the ability to remain calm, personable, and professional while multitasking.
- Effectively work within a group setting to ensure safety of patrons.
- Stay current with and effectively enact facility policies and procedures.*
- Attend all trainings including, but not limited to: in-service trainings and organizational meetings. (Typically Sunday evenings once a month)
- Maintain all safety training certifications.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
