Job Summary
Oversee daily pool operations during assigned shifts by monitoring swimmers, supervising rental groups, and supporting free swim periods. Maintain a professional presence on deck to proactively identify hazards and ensure all participants follow safety guidelines. Assist with opening and closing procedures, maintain cleanliness of the pool deck and equipment areas, and communicate clearly with supervisors and event coordinators. Respond promptly to emergencies while providing courteous customer service to patrons. This role requires current lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications, along with the ability to work evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1 year of college experience
- Current lifeguarding certification
- CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certification
- First Aid certification
- Dependable
- Punctual
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the rental and programming schedule
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to maintain focused attention
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to provide courteous and professional customer service to all patrons
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a collegiate, municipal, or high-traffic aquatic facility
