Job Summary
Maintain safety in the pools and surrounding pool areas while providing supervision and taking life-saving measures when necessary for members and guests. Participate in maintenance of the pool, exercise equipment, and emergency equipment, and demonstrate complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures with confidence communicating with EMS. Be proficient in all core business software as it relates to job duties and work towards meeting departmental and organizational goals. You must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties, including current Lifeguard certification, and possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills to work with members in a positive, service-based manner.
Required Qualifications
- Current Lifeguard certification from a nationally recognized organization
- CPR/AED certification
- Must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties
- Demonstrate complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures
- Confidence communicating with EMS
- Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner
- The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours and work schedules
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of part time experience as a lifeguard
- Water Safety Instructor certification
