Job Summary
Maintain the swimming pool area at all times during duty hours, ensuring the safety of all users and upholding water quality standards through daily testing of pH and chlorine levels. Monitor and report on the performance of pumps, drains, filters, and heating systems, coordinating with maintenance for any required repairs while managing the circulation system to ensure proper water volume. Oversee the cleanliness of the pool, children's splash pool, jacuzzi, and hotel fountain, arranging daily setup of sun loungers, mattresses, and umbrellas. Inspect all pool assets for damage or missing items, reporting issues immediately to the Club Supervisor. Hold valid lifeguard certification, first aid, and CPR credentials with excellent rescue skills, adhering to hotel grooming standards and working flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid lifeguard certification issued by a recognized government authority
- Up-to-date first aid and CPR certifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years' experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant, preferably in a hotel or resort environment
- Excellent swimming and rescue skills with the ability to respond quickly in emergencies
- Basic understanding of pool water testing, filtration systems, and chemical handling
- Good health and physical condition to perform rescues and handle emergency situations effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues professionally
- Positive 'Yes I Can!' attitude, friendly demeanor, and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Must adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards at all times
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations
