Job Summary
Monitor pool activity, facilitate safe swimming practices, and provide rescue assistance when needed. Maintain a clean environment by scrubbing scum lines, hosing decks, and keeping drains clear. Assist members with lane selection, swimming proficiency, and fitness goals while promoting safety and preventing accidents. Communicate hazards to management and participate in record keeping. Create a positive work environment by greeting guests, mentoring new employees, and assisting coworkers. This optional role offers year-round indoor and outdoor coverage at TriHealth Fitness & Health Pavilion in Montgomery, OH, with access to 401(k) and other benefits.
Required Qualifications
- American Red Cross lifeguard certification
- YMCA lifeguard or other certifications
- At least 2 years High School Education
- Must be at least age 16+
- ages 16-17 requires work permit
- First Aid
- CPR
- AED
- Knowledge and demonstration of basic rescue technique
- Excellent swimming skills including ability to swim 300 meters using the 5 basic strokes
- Must be able to lift 50+ Lbs.
- Must be able to lift <50 Lbs.
