Job Summary
The Lifeguard (Opener) is responsible for maintaining safe swimming conditions, responding to emergencies, and assisting with swim instruction at the Downtown YMCA. This part-time position offers free certification and training, requiring candidates to complete a physical competency test.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- Current or ability to obtain Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or YMCA)
- Complete the physical competency test
- Certification in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of six months or more of related lifesaving experience preferred
- Ability to participate in certification training for Lifeguard, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid.
