Lifeguard (Open Until Filled)

Maintain the safety of patrons in and around the pool by performing water rescue, prevention techniques, first aid, and CPR when required. Observe and monitor assigned areas in rotation to prevent accidents while enforcing all City of Columbia Swimming Pool rules and regulations. Communicate potentially dangerous facility elements to the Pool Manager and handle incidents appropriately. Complete injury reports, test water quality, and record results, reporting imbalances to the supervisor. Perform custodial duties including cleaning bathrooms and trash removal, and document disciplinary problems or accidents. Report promptly at assigned duty times and remain on duty until the shift is completed.
