Job Summary
Monitor aquatic therapy pool activities continuously to ensure participant safety. Enforce all safety regulations and policies to prevent accidents and injuries. Respond promptly to emergencies by providing first aid and CPR while maintaining a calm demeanor. Maintain pool area cleanliness, monitor water quality, and verify that all safety equipment functions properly. Requires American Red Cross lifeguarding license, CPR certification, and proficiency in swimming.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Lifeguarding [ARC] - American Red Cross
- Experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a healthcare or therapeutic setting 1-2 years preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond to emergencies
- Physical fitness and the ability to swim proficiently
- Knowledge of first aid, aquatic first aid and general safety
