Job Summary
Lifeguard position at Magic Springs Theme & Water Park responsible for supervising swimmer safety and implementing established protection standards; perform water rescues, provide basic first aid, and maintain CPR/first aid readiness through on-site training. Responsibilities include enforcing park rules, operating water attractions, delivering courteous guest service, communicating with management via signals, and supporting a safe, clean work environment. Requires teamwork, vigilance, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with capacity to handle outdoor, high-heat conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old by May 25th, 2026
- Must possess or successfully complete a Jeff Ellis and Associate lifeguard training course (training provided by Magic Springs Theme & Water Park)
- Must possess oral and written English skills and be able to read and understand operations manuals
- Be vigilant, attentive, and able to work as a team
- Some positions require working at elevated heights
- Energy and enthusiasm for long shifts
- Available to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs (if 18+ and older, ability to work overtime)
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions with hydration and sun-protection
- Attention to detail
- Physical demands including standing, walking, lifting 10-150 pounds with coworker assistance
- 20/25 corrected vision and normal or better hearing
