Job Summary
Greets and interacts with Members, rescues swimmers in danger of drowning, and administers first aid. Monitors the pool deck and maintains safety on water slides while ensuring swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous areas. Keeps the pool area clean and orderly. Supports aquatics events such as "Dive in Movies" and "Poolapalooza." Requires StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certification, plus the ability to swim 300 yards and retrieve a 10 lb diving brick. Hourly wages start at $16.50 and go up to $19.50 based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
- StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification
- BLS CPR certification
- First Aid certification
- Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
- Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
- Ability to tread water for 1 minute
- Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
- Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs
