Job Summary
Monitor state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor pools, water slides, and assist with aquatics events like "Dive in Movies" and "Poolapalooza." Greets members, rescues swimmers in distress while administering first aid, and ensures awareness of dangerous areas. Maintain a clean and orderly pool deck to guarantee member safety. Requires StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS, CPR, and First Aid certification, plus the ability to swim 300 yards and retrieve a 10 lb diving brick. This role supports Life Time's mission to empower all members to live happier, healthier lives across its 160+ country clubs.
Required Qualifications
- Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
- StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification
- BLS CPR certification
- First Aid certification
- Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
- Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
- Ability to tread water for 1 minute
- Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
- Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs
