Job Summary
Monitor the pool area during operating hours, special events, and private functions to ensure the safety of members, guests, and staff. Enforce swimming pool rules, observe hours of operation, and strategically position yourself to cover all areas while maintaining continuous supervision. Register members and guests entering the pool, maintain cleanliness of the deck and lounge areas, and complete daily assignments to uphold club standards. Turn in charge slips and checks daily, unlock and lock the pool office and gate as required, and replace lane lines when not in use. Maintain at least one lifeguard in the chair during weekends, holidays, or as directed by the General Manager. Take breaks only when another lifeguard assumes responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- ASCA or USA swimming certification
- CPR, first aid, and AED certification within the last 6 months
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, members, and guests
- Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs. on occasion
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 6 months of experience coaching swimmers of various ages and skill levels
