Job Summary
Supervise and observe members and guests in and around the pool to ensure safety and emergency response. Administer First Aid or CPR when needed and enforce rules taught through American Red Cross training. Maintain the pool and pool area as assigned by the supervisor while greeting and signing in members and guests. Work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with part-time hours available around school class schedules.
Required Qualifications
- current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification
- First Aid or CPR
- positive, enthusiastic, personable individuals with strong character
- understand the importance of their position as a lifeguard
- function as a part of a team
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule which will include weekdays and weekends, as well as holidays
- Requires focus and awareness
- Must be able to work in the heat and sun for prolonged periods of time
