Job Summary
Lead worker at a municipal swimming facility responsible for lifeguard duties, schedule creation and assignment of lifeguards, and instruction on pool operating procedures, safety practices, maintenance, and related matters; oversee lifeguards’ enforcement of safety rules. Requires Lifeguard Certification, Basic First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer with AED prior to hire; ability to travel. Part-time/year-round and seasonal positions available; incumbents may work up to 29 hours per week for part-time roles. Training includes lifesaving and emergency response; incentives offered for completing mandatory training and maintaining good standing. Role is located in the City of Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Department; provides opportunities for training in lifeguarding and related classes."
Required Qualifications
- Lifeguard Certification as issued by the Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Department
- Basic First Aid
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer with AED Module
