Job Summary
Lifeguard protecting guests by monitoring pool areas, responding to emergencies, and enforcing park rules. Free lifeguard training provided to successful applicants. Responsibilities include operating aquatic attractions, monthly training, and park-beautification tasks such as trash collection. Requires fitness for outdoor work, ability to swim 200 yards, and the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification. Seasonal, with weekend/holiday flexibility; pay range $11.50–$13.50/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Ellis & Associates Special Facilities Lifeguard Certification (provided free to successful applicants)
- Minimum age: 16
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions
- Swim 200 yards using front crawl (freestyle) or breaststroke without resting
- Perform a feet-first surface dive, retrieve a 10-lb. brick , and bring to the surface
- Exit pools without a ladder and jump from varying heights
- Work outdoors, climb stairs, and perform physical tasks like kneeling, bending, and lifting
