Job Summary
Lifeguard position at Grand Pacific Resorts in Carlsbad. Responsibilities include ensuring pool area safety, enforcing pool rules, monitoring the pool, hot tub, and slide areas, providing emergency care and rescue as needed, and collaborating with team to deliver excellent guest service. Requires swimming proficiency, strong judgment, and ability to work independently or with little supervision. Must obtain lifeguard certification upon offer and hold CPR/AED certification; prior lifeguarding experience preferred. Availability June through August and ability to work varied shifts; strong customer service and communication skills essential. Training includes International Lifeguard Training Program and ongoing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain lifeguard certification upon offer
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Must be knowledgeable of principles and techniques of preventive lifeguarding, water rescues, first aid, and CPR
- Successfully complete the International Lifeguard Training Program and ongoing training requirements
- Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to pass applicable auditions or skill testing, background check, physical examination and drug screening
- Must be able to speak and understand the English language
