Job Summary
Maintain a safe aquatic operation at the Splash Landings Indoor Aquatic Center through constant surveillance, enforcing pool rules, and responding to emergencies with proper care. Act as the first responder to all minor and medical emergencies, providing necessary treatment until emergency medical services arrive. Provide a safe, healthy, and enjoyable experience for swimmers by enforcing rules firmly yet pleasantly while remaining alert at all times. Keep lifeguard skills proficient by attending four hours of monthly training and complete required assessments including swimming 200 yards without resting and retrieving a brick from six feet deep. This part-time role offers flexible weekday and weekend shifts with a starting rate of $18.75 per hour for year-round employees.
Required Qualifications
- At least 15 years of age or older (work permit required for 15-year-olds)
- Pass a swim assessment: swim 200 yards without resting, tread water without using your hands for two minutes, and retrieve a 10-pound brick from a depth of six (6) feet
