Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Must be at least 18 years old
• •Be in good physical condition
• •Successfully complete Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Training Program
• •Pass a prerequisite swim test that includes swimming 200 yards continuously using an approach stroke (breaststroke or front crawl)
• •Pass a prerequisite swim test that includes retrieving a 5lb brick from the deepest part of the pool (6 feet)
• •Pass a prerequisite swim test that includes treading water without the use of their hands for 2 minutes
• •Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
• •Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time
• •Must be able to occasionally reach above shoulder, push and pull
• •Must possess the ability to read, communicate verbally, and hear
• •Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds
• •Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance
• •Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• •Must possess manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech
• •Must maintain the ability to work in all weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight
