Job Summary
Monitor the pool, enforce safety rules, and respond promptly to emergencies while ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Register members and guests, strategically position staff to cover all areas including blind spots, and maintain continuous supervision by taking breaks only when another lifeguard is on duty. Clean the pool deck, lounge chairs, and tables throughout the shift, straighten furniture, and manage pool office access and restrooms. Replace lane lines, complete daily assignments to uphold club standards, and process charge slips daily. Maintain a high level of professionalism, follow all policies, and address challenges using available resources.
Required Qualifications
- ASCA or USA swimming certification
- Certification in CPR, first aid, and AED within the last 6 months
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, members, and guests
- Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines
- Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 6 months of experience coaching swimmers of various ages and skill levels
