Job Summary
Conduct constant surveillance of assigned aquatic areas to prevent accidents and respond immediately to emergencies. Enforce pool rules, perform water rescues, and administer first aid, CPR, and AED as needed. Maintain a clean, organized pool deck and complete incident reports accurately. Provide friendly interactions with guests while collaborating with the Aquatics Experience team. Work extended periods in sun and heat, lifting guests as necessary, and rotate evenings, weekends, and holidays. Commit to four hours of monthly in-service training.
Required Qualifications
- Active American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
- Oxygen Administration certification (if required by facility)
- Completion of Diventures Way training (position-specific)
- Knowledge of facility Emergency Action Plans (EAPs)
- Ability to enforce aquatic safety rules consistently and professionally
- Ability to work for extended periods in sun, heat, humidity, and variable weather
- Ability to sit, stand, and remain alert for extended periods
- Ability to lift and assist guests in and out of the water when necessary
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Commitment to four hours of in-service training monthly
