Job Summary
Lifeguard responsible for monitoring pool activity, enforcing rules and policies, and responding quickly to emergencies to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for members and guests. Duties include surveillance of the pool area, daily safety checks of equipment, accurate guest sign-in, assisting with pool-deck cleanliness, and communicating safety concerns to management. Requires current lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications, strong judgment and communication skills, and availability on weekends, holidays, and peak summer periods.
Required Qualifications
- Current Lifeguard Certification (Red Cross or equivalent)
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification required
- Strong awareness, judgment, and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous lifeguarding experience in a private club or similar setting
- Knowledge of Washington State pool safety regulations
