Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee lifeguarding operations across 14 neighborhood pools, including seasonal staffing, training, and equipment management. Directly supervise seasonal staff through hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with safety policies. Prepare incident reports, budget analyses, and promotional materials to support community outreach and facility readiness. Manage lifeguard supplies, AED maintenance, and seasonal scheduling with flexibility for weekend, holiday, and emergency duty calls. Requires a Bachelor's degree, lifeguard instructor certification, and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university
- One (1) year of related experience and/or training
- Must possess or obtain a valid Texas driver's license within the first ninety (90) days of employment
- Must possess American Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguard Instructor certification
- Must obtain Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator certification within first six (6) months of employment
- Proficiency in MS Office & SharePoint
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to sit
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to stoop
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to crouch
- Must be able to crawl
- Must have close vision

Desired Qualifications
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer certification preferred
- Waterfront Lifeguard Instructor certification preferred
