Job Summary
The Lifeguard position is a part-time role responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons during the summer and potentially into the academic year. Key responsibilities include monitoring the safety of pool patrons, enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies, maintaining a clean pool environment, and completing required training and certification updates. Candidates must possess relevant certifications from the American Red Cross and pass a skills test.
Required Qualifications
- Current American Red Cross certification in Lifesaving, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED & First Aid
- Successful completion of a skills test including swimming 300 yards, treading water for 2 minutes, completing a timed event, and retrieving a diving brick from the bottom of the pool
- Must be at least 16 years old

- All candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application
