Job Summary
Lifeguard position at the YMCA aquatic facility in Colorado Springs. Responsibilities include overseeing activities at the pool, explaining and enforcing rules to ensure patron safety, maintaining constant surveillance with a rescue-ready posture, monitoring designated areas for danger, warning swimmers of unsafe situations, responding to emergencies and performing rescues, administering first aid, maintaining cleanliness and order, and maintaining records and reports. Required Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- Must pass a swim test and skills assessment
- Completion of lifeguard training (we offer lifeguard training)
- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds
- Available to work shifts
- Physically fit, strong, agile and dexterous
