Job Summary
Lifeguards at Tropic Falls ensure the safety of guests by proactively monitoring assigned zones of pools and attractions and responding effectively to emergencies. This role requires adherence to uniform standards, completion of safety inspections, and maintaining a clean environment. Lifeguards must communicate policies courteously, assist guests at water features, and possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have reliable transportation and report to work on time as scheduled
- Able to obtain and maintain Jeff Ellis and Associates (E&A) Lifeguard Training Program License; training and licensing will be provided once hired
- Maintain license through participation in monthly in-service training and upholding E&A standards
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to react well under stressful and emergency situations
- Willing to work during operating hours on a flexible schedule which will include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand and be immersed in water for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain
- Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs
- Current valid driver’s license
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen
