Job Summary
Enforce all pool rules, prevent injuries, and provide continuous patron surveillance while swimming. Handle injuries, accidents, and emergency situations immediately, and instruct guests of various ages in swimming and water safety. Complete assigned cleaning duties, operate the ticket sales booth, and manage cash transactions. Greet guests, provide information and wayfinding, and professionally resolve concerns or direct them to management. Maintain confidentiality, supervise events, and perform regular venue walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness. Attend scheduled in-service training and complete special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification in Deep Water Lifeguard Training by the American Red Cross
- First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards certification
- Ability to complete training and earn certification within 30 days of hire
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older
- Must be able to list equipment 40 pounds waist high
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
