Job Summary
Instructs aquatic exercise and therapy programs; conducts group and 1:1 aquatic instruction and hands-on assistance; monitors clients’ progress and makes program changes to facilitate maximum independence and achievement of fitness goals; responds to emergencies and completes documentation including class rosters and client records; operates within governing disciplines and may require weekend mornings for community swimming lessons; requires lifeguard and/or BLS certification; part-time (0.0 FTE) role with pay range $17.45–$23.77/hour; benefits and loan-support programs available through Allina Health.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age with education and/or experience to meet required functional competencies
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0 to 2 years in teaching aquatics skills preferred
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days)
- Lifeguard Certification from American Red Cross required within 2 weeks of hire
