Job Summary
Lifeguard positioned to provide safety for members and guests in pools and surrounding areas, enforce rules, and maintain a professional demeanor with patrons and staff. Responsible for water rescue procedures and monitoring swimmers, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with center staff. Requires ARC Lifeguard Training, Community First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer (Water Safety Instructor certification desired); willing to work all pool hours and attend emergency rescue training and staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 18
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
- Lifeguard experience desired
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or interest in becoming one
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification (or Comparable)
- American Red Cross Training in Community First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- Water Safety Instructor certification desired
- Ability to pass a Center prepared water test
- Willingness to work all hours pools are in operation
- Attend emergency rescue training meetings and staff meetings as requested by manager
