Job Summary

Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions manages employee exits for Remote's external employees with a focus on legal compliance and providing delightful customer service. Additionally, the specialist provides first-level Employee Relations support, guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate resources when needed. As part of a larger employee Lifecycle team, the Specialist is also expected to contribute to process improvements and initiatives in line with Remote's strategic goals and values. Key responsibilities include end-to-end offboarding across multiple jurisdictions, advising on termination, resignation and transfer procedures, drafting termination documents, liaising with payroll/legal/government bodies, handling administrative hearings and negotiations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for compliance and audits, maintaining employee records with privacy in mind, and driving automation and AI-enabled improvements to the offboarding and employee-relations processes. The role emphasizes strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, the ability to work autonomously in a globally distributed, asynchronous environment, and a focus on shaping customer experiences and operational efficiency. The position is aligned with Remote’s Lifecycle team, reporting to the Manager Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions, and is based in the EMEA region with a full-time, remote work setup.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a HR Advisor or HR Business Partner
  • generalist HR competencies across the employee lifecycle
  • terminations and exits handling
  • advice on employment laws and regulations across jurisdictions
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • ability to work asynchronously in a remote environment
  • automation and AI capability familiarity
  • experience coordinating with payroll, legal, and other stakeholders
  • ability to manage confidential information
  • English proficiency; other languages are a plus
