Job Summary
Design and manage complex engineering systems within Trane product lines by applying interdisciplinary expertise to solve design and product problems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover issues, analyze test data, perform refrigeration cycle reviews, and prepare reports. Support designers with equipment technical details, assist in factory and field problem resolution, and deliver technical designs meeting project requirements. Conduct laboratory testing, develop presentations for engineering review, and utilize Windchill or equivalent PLM software. Work onsite Monday through Thursday with flexible Friday scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related technical discipline)
- at least 2-years work experience contributing to technical aspects of product design projects, validation testing, root cause analysis and/or manufacturing
- Understand HVAC system functions including refrigeration, heat transfer, airflow and ventilation
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly and efficiently understand and organize information necessary to make engineering decisions
- Ability to make progress by completing tasks and deliverables in a multi-tasking environment (several concurrent assignments) on time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Windchill software or equivalent PLM (Product lifecycle management software) experience
- Working knowledge of relevant computer applications (CADD: Computer Aided Design/Drafting)
- Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues
- Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Creo and SolidWorks preferred
