Job Summary
The Life Skills Trainer provides direct support or assistance in accordance with individual service or program plans, aiding individuals with socialization, behavioral development, personal care, and daily living activities. This role includes documenting progress, managing individuals' assets, and maintaining relationships with clients and their families. Responsibilities also encompass health care support, such as monitoring health concerns and accompanying individuals to medical appointments. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver's license, and potential exposure to blood or bodily fluids is part of the job.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- All state-required training and certification completed in mandated timeframes
Additional Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Job requires performance of duties that involve potential for exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues
