Job Summary
Life-skills Special Education Teacher responsible for implementing research-supported instructional strategies across academic, social, and vocational curricula, adapting materials and environments to meet diverse learners' needs, integrating related services, promoting successful transitions, and using varied communication modalities. Responsibilities include data-driven progress monitoring, SRBI processes, IEP-related documentation, classroom and individual behavioral management plans, assessments (standardized and non-standardized), and collaboration with the Director of Special Services. Must possess all required Connecticut SDE certifications for special education. Ansonia Public Schools contracts with the Ansonia Federation of Teachers.
