Job Summary
Life Skills Mentor to support youth ages 16–20 in a residential group home program in Washington County, MD. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills (hygiene, cleaning, overnight routines), providing structure, supervision, and behavioral support, responding to verbal and physical behaviors using approved techniques, administering medications per training/policy, ensuring safety and maintaining a calm environment during overnight hours, and building positive relationships to promote independence. Must be 21+, hold a high school diploma or GED, have a valid U.S. driver's license for at least 2 years, be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, and complete paid new-hire training. Mental health/behavioral management experience is strongly preferred. Evening shift 2:00 PM–11:00 PM with weekend hours in residential group-home settings; benefits include health/dental/vision, life insurance, 403(b), PTO, holidays, and DSP certification incentive programs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license held for at least 2 years
- Physically able to lift and transfer up to 50 lbs
- Willing to complete 3 weeks and 2 days of paid new hire training (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM)
