Job Summary
Life Skills Coach/Mentor to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and confidence in daily living. Role involves coaching clients on independent living skills (e.g., cooking, budgeting, hygiene), encouraging and supporting progress, planning and organizing weekly goals, and documenting progress through case notes and quarterly reports. Expect ~90% field-based work with 10% admin, with collaboration across program managers, regional center coordinators, and training staff. Requirements include a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, ability to commute in Vacaville/Fairfield/Vallejo areas, ability to pass a background check, and basic computer literacy (MS Word, email, data entry). Strong communication, dependability, flexibility, and the ability to work independently in one-on-one settings are valued; behavioral health experience is preferred but not required.
