Job Summary
Assist in the provision of direct educational, vocational, and supported living services for individuals with disabilities under the supervision of a Training Specialist or Team Director. Implement objectives from individual support plans, providing instruction on fundamental daily routines including feeding, bathing, and personal hygiene. Foster healthful habits by supporting informed choices on program schedules and transporting participants to vocational, medical, and training activities. Maintain progress notes, participate in staff meetings and safety programs, and actively engage in peer group discussions. Lift and push objects up to 80 pounds while adhering to all REACH policies and reporting safety concerns immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid California driver's license
- Must have automobile insurance
- Must have a good DMV driving record
- Must have a reliable and safe vehicle
- Must be able to lift 50-80 pounds
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
- Must be able to provide very clear and concise written and oral communications
- Must successfully complete health screenings
- Must successfully complete LiveScan screenings
- Must pass a pre-employment background investigation
