Job Summary
Provide life-skills training to adults with mental illness residing in residential facilities to build organizational, budgeting, and shopping capabilities. Conduct coaching sessions in a supportive living environment to help individuals live their best lives. Maintain a current license and good driving record to transport clients as needed. Complete drug screening, TB testing, and extensive background checks including criminal history and sex offender registry searches. Adhere to CDC protocols by wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and sanitizing. Join a nonprofit serving comprehensive whole health services across five Central Indiana counties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- One year experience in a service capacity of individuals in need (children, youth, elderly, physically, emotionally and/or mentally disabled, special needs, etc.) and/or related coursework as determined through review of college transcript
- Current license
- Good driving record
- Able to transport others
- Drug screen
- TB test
- extensive background checks (including Criminal History, Sex Offender Registry Search, State Central Registry Check, Education Verification, and Professional References)
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, etc.) from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education
- Basic knowledge of the Recovery Model
