Job Summary
Life Skills Clinician - School-Based provides therapeutic and skill-building services to support youth in gaining practical, social, and emotional abilities to navigate daily life, primarily in schools in Indiana. Collaborates with licensed behavioral health, school, and medical providers to review care plans and identify patient-specific life skills goals; delivers individualized, family, and group-based life skills training; supports emotion regulation, organization, social, self-care, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills; assists with transition planning for life after school including vocational skills and independent living; conducts home visits; coordinates referrals to community resources and services; maintains accurate clinical documentation in the EHR; applies protective service knowledge; utilizes de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques; potential to float between sites or school districts; requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field, ability to pass background checks, and a valid driver’s license; CPI certification is preferred and bilingual/multilingual fluency is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field required or equivalent experience
- One year experience working within a public school district preferred
- Must be credentialed according to the requirements of the evidence-based model(s) used
- Valid driver’s license required
- CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification preferred
- Bilingual or multilingual fluency preferred
- Background check and drug screen in accordance with regulatory requirements
