Job Summary
Maintain all levels of supervision for assigned individuals regarding daily living activities, safety, and vocational tasks per their support plans. Administer medication as scheduled, coordinate transportation, and respond to emergency situations including CPR and crisis intervention. Complete required documentation such as daily logs, goal reports, and incident reports while ensuring site safety, cleanliness, and vehicle maintenance. Remain on shift until incoming staff clocks in to maintain required resident-to-staff ratios. Assist in resolving problematic situations and participate in the Interdisciplinary Team process. Requires one year of experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, a valid driver's license with two years of driving experience, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally
- Ability to independently problem-solve
- Ability to perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and crisis intervention techniques according to agency trained protocols
- Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence
- Minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States
- Have an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
