Life Skills Assistant

Conduct daily activities, facilitate individual learning experiences, and assist in developing living skills consistent with participant objectives identified in the Individual Support Plan. Provide personal care assistance including feeding, grooming, and toileting while supervising participants to ensure safety at all times. Implement activities of daily living skills using varied materials and experiences, and encourage adults to develop good nutritional habits. Assist with community outings by guiding riders in and out of the van, supervising participants on the vehicle to ensure no one is left alone, checking wheelchair lock downs and seat belts prior to departure, and maintaining transportation records. Perform routine housekeeping duties to keep assigned rooms, facilities, and outdoor areas clean. Advise the Adult Director or Transportation Coordinator of any irregularities in participant appearance or behavior, and report concerns for abuse or neglect immediately. Maintain assigned documentation, participant records, and supplies, adhering to all ESWG policies, licensing standards, and completing required in-service training.
