Job Summary
Create 3D model spaces using AutoCAD and Revit MEP in coordination with architects and multi-discipline engineers. Develop layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, and Security and Intrusion detection systems. Deliver complex packages aligned with NFPA 70, NFPA 101, and NFPA 72 codes while collaborating with design leads. This hybrid position supports projects enabling the core of clients' business, with onsite work available near Electronics offices in Austin, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Albany, or Portland.
Required Qualifications
- Senior Life Safety Systems (LSS) Drafter / BIM Designer
- Strong Revit skills
- 3 to 5 years of recent use
- 3-5 years of systems design experience
- Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
- Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturer's equipment
- Industrial design experience
- Autodesk Certification Professional ACP or other drafting technologies certifications
- This role is intended to be contract to hire
- Ideally looking for folks located near Electronics offices (Austin, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Albany, Portland) to work onsite
