Job Summary
Life Insurance Consultant - Inside Sales role at Valmark Financial Group seeks an experienced insurance professional to lead engagement with existing clients and affiliated advisors, turning policy reviews and firm-generated opportunities into client-centered solutions. Responsibilities include proactive outreach to underperforming or at-risk policies, responding to inquiries, building trusted relationships with advisors and institutional partners, performing policy reviews and illustrations, coordinating with internal teams to move cases from opportunity to placement, maintaining CRM records, and shaping outreach workflows. Required qualifications include 5+ years in life insurance or related field, a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, an active Life Insurance license, client-facing sales/advisory experience, and proficiency with CRM and carrier illustration systems. Preferred qualifications include FINRA licenses (Series 7/65/66), professional designations (LOMA FLMI/ALMI, CFP, CLU, ChFC), and experience working with independent advisors. Core competencies emphasize product knowledge, client-facing communication, sales drive, intrapreneur mindset, technology aptitude, and strong organization.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in life insurance, financial services, or a closely related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, Economics, or related discipline
- Active Life Insurance license (required at hire or within 60 days)
- Demonstrated experience working directly with clients or advisors—sales, case management, or advisory support
- Comfort with technology platforms including CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and carrier illustration systems
- Strong organization and follow-through: ability to manage multiple open cases without losing accuracy or momentum
