Life Enrichment Worker (BSO) – Long Term Care

Job Summary
Plan, lead, and assist with group programs, one-to-one activities, and special events to bring joy and meaning to Residents; assess recreation and therapeutic needs and develop individualized care plans; participate in behavioral assessments and team consults; support Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives; ensure compliance with safety policies and infection control; communicate respectfully with Residents, families, and team members; contribute to a safe, supportive workplace; and utilize PPE as required. The role requires a post-secondary credential in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Kinesiology, or Gerontology, First Aid and CPR certification, and Food Handler’s certification. Required Qualifications
- A post-secondary diploma, degree, or certificate in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Kinesiology, or Gerontology
- First Aid (every 3 years) and CPR certification (annually)
- Food Handler’s certification (every 5 years)
- Computer skills (Email, Word, Care Planning, Graphics) with working knowledge of PCC and ActivityPro
