Job Summary
Plan and prepare daily events prioritizing enjoyment and socialization based on resident choice. Inform residents of activities through personal invitations and boards, then lead and facilitate group programs while developing trusting relationships. Provide individualized attention to residents unable to participate in groups using sensory props, music, and reading. Record detailed attendance and progress notes for all residents, ensuring accurate and confidential documentation. Prepare activity sites by coordinating with kitchen and housekeeping services. Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and emergency evacuation procedures. Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Coordinator on special projects.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass state mandated background check
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient in English
- Physical capability to perform all job duties, including lifting, standing, and transporting residents
