Job Summary
Plan and prepare daily events prioritizing resident enjoyment and socialization based on individual preferences. Inform residents of activities through personal invitations and boards, then lead and facilitate group programs while developing trusting relationships. Conduct one-on-one visits for residents unable to participate in groups, utilizing sensory props and reading to enhance their experience. Maintain detailed attendance and progress notes for all program participation, ensuring accurate and confidential documentation. Safely transport residents to outings and appointments using the community bus, maintaining vehicle readiness through fueling, cleaning, and reporting mechanical concerns. Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and emergency evacuation procedures. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and DOT physical eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient in English
- Physical capability to perform all job duties, including lifting, standing, and transporting residents
- Must be willing and able to successfully pass a DOT physical examination
- Must be willing and able to successfully pass a DOT-required drug screening
- Must be willing and able to successfully pass an Orange Tree background check
