Job Summary
Supports development, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of life enrichment programs under the Director of Life Enrichment Programs; maintains life enrichment calendars reflecting patient needs, including special occasions and group activities; promotes ongoing life enrichment activities including evenings, weekends, and holidays; helps develop and supervise a volunteer program; participates in Interdisciplinary Team meetings and resident care conferences; contributes to RAI/Care Plan processes; coordinates and delivers life enrichment activities; fosters inter-departmental communication; adheres to departmental financial plans and safety/privacy regulations; maintains supplies/equipment; serves as a facility liaison to engage with community initiatives; performs related duties to ensure center success; requires ability to administer Life Enrichment department in compliance with regulations, participate in surveys, pursue continuing education, in-services, safety procedures, and adherence to Corporate Compliance; preference for GHCA Activity Director 36-Hour Certification with potential certification within first year.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified life enrichment professional with a minimum of one year of experience in a social or recreation program within the last five years or Qualified healthcare professional with a minimum of one year experience in a skilled nursing or similar care setting.
