Job Summary
Coordinate and carry out assigned activity programs for memory care residents based on the monthly calendar, including one-to-one programming for those unable to participate in group settings. Assist in decorating for holidays, executing special events, and transporting residents to and from activities as instructed by the Activities Director. Maintain equipment, organize storage areas, and ensure copies of the calendar are posted for residents, families, and friends. Encourage family and staff involvement while attending required meetings and trainings. Perform other duties as assigned, including working flexible schedules with weekends, holidays, and overtime to meet program requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a private vehicle for business use
- Pass a Criminal Background and fingerprint check
- Maintains current food handlers card
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- First Aid and CPR
- Meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
- Ability to work independently (with minimum supervision)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime, to meet the requirements of the position
Desired Qualifications
- Having completed a state certified activities training program or having one or more years of direct programming experience with older adults is helpful
