Job Summary
Coordinate and carry out assigned activity programs for memory care residents based on the monthly calendar, ensuring materials are posted and available. Provide one-to-one programming for residents unable to participate in group settings and assist with holiday decorations, special events, and quarterly community gatherings. Transport residents to and from activities as needed, maintain equipment and storage areas, and support staff in the absence of the Activities Director. Encourage family and volunteer involvement while attending required meetings and trainings. Maintain a clean, safe environment and work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a private vehicle for business use
- Pass a Criminal Background and fingerprint check
- Maintains current food handlers card
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- First Aid and CPR
- Meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
- Ability to work independently (with minimum supervision)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime, to meet the requirements of the position
Desired Qualifications
- Having completed a state certified activities training program or having one or more years of direct programming experience with older adults is helpful
