Job Summary
Lead volunteer-based activities and enrichment programs that enhance the lives of Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. Collaborate with department leaders to build relationships with local schools, businesses, and community organizations for a strong volunteer and resource network. Develop a comprehensive calendar of activities promoting resident engagement, family involvement, and meaningful experiences while monitoring departmental budgets and financial performance. Recruit, hire, train, and retain a high-performing life enrichment team. Create innovative programs supporting resident independence, cognitive stimulation, and social connection, ensuring all activities comply with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Evaluate program effectiveness based on resident feedback. Work evenings and weekends to meet resident needs and support special events.
Required Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience, preferably in senior living, recreation, or a related field
- High school diploma
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality programming
- Ability to maintain required state-level certifications or licenses (such as CDL if applicable for resident transportation duties)
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to resident services and care
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new systems and applications
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends to meet resident needs and support special events
